Vancouver Wedding Photographer - The Photoshop Experiment

The Photoshop Experiment

This YouTube video has been making its rounds in social media. Photoshop can make extensive changes YES, although beautiful lighting can make the BIGGEST of differences.

Our FIRST concern going into any portrait session or wedding is what the lighting conditions are. Beautiful NATURAL Lighting can make all the difference in the WORLD. And this optimal lighting is all you need, its enough of a difference to hide any minor imperfections. Yet never too much to make you look like someone else.

We Will NEVER Over Process your photos and WILL ALWAYS use the BEST natural LIGHTING in any situation.

BELOW is Three Before AND After Samples of what we use Photoshop for. The top image of each is the Original and the Bottom is the Processed image in Photoshop. As you can tell, our images are never over processed. The typical editing process is as follows: adjusting Contrast and Brightness, using minor photoshop actions to suit each shoot(e.g. adding a softness and warm colouring), and possibly using a haze or a bit of a sun flare.

What is your take on Photoshop?????

Heaton Photography | Video : Travis & Sarah's Seattle Engagement

TRAVIS & SARAH

A few years ago, we met Sarah and Travis during a photo session at a Family Reunion in Grande Prairie, Alberta. We seemed to hit it off right away and joked "How one day We would Capture their Vows".
A year and a half later they asked us to be a part of one of the happiest days of their lives…. photographing their wedding!
It wasn't until we headed off to Seattle for their Engagement Photos & Video, that we realized how special these two would be in our lives. They have become our closest friends over the last 6 months.
They are Two of the Lovliest People we have ever met and couldn't be more excited to be there for them as they say 'I Do'.

HEATON | VIDEO

Some of our work that we are most proud of is our 'Engagement Videos'.
There is really something special about a couple who is So Much in LOVE and capturing them in their everyday life.

Meet Neal and Stacey. Their day to day life includes taking their dogs out for a stroll in Campbell Valley Park. Sax and Burton really are their babies and such a huge part of their life, they couldn't have imagined shooting their video without them.
